I’m thinking of taking a trip to Hawaii, but i don’t know what place.

Of the islands I’ve been to…
Kauai is my favorite. It’s small enough that you can get around easily but not usually too crowded. The south side of the island is kind of touristy, but the north isn’t as much. You can learn to surf, walk/hike to some beautiful waterfalls, and even take helicopter tours.
Hawaii (the big island) is my second favorite. Kona is fantastic. The south tip of the island is also great and has some really cool black sand beaches, and there are sea turtles that you can see while snorkeling. You can also go to the Kilauea (sp?) volcano crater.
Oahu was my least favorite. The few days I were there were really hot and dry, though, so it might be nicer if the weather were a bit cooler. But I didn’t like Honolulu or Diamondhead, and I thought Waikiki was extremely overhyped.
It also depends on your situation. If you’re taking younger kids, I’d recommend the big island. Tweens and teens would probably like Kauai better. And no kids? I’d still say Kauai. But there are some other smaller islands that you should look into as well (Molokai, Lanai, etc.)

Kauai may be the best,,,,,,,,,Oahu is the worst of the islands, but the most “modernized” if you can call it that. overcrowded, heavy traffic and drunkeness and drug use abounds, even homelessness! imagine that!? homeless in hawaii??????
depends on how long your going and what you would like to do. if you go to maui you wont regret it.
