Day 2. Travel to the Hawaiian Islands can be classified as turning points in life, you will come back totally different person.

The most frequently visited, only 8 of them: Oahu – it is the Hawaiian capital of Honolulu and the famous Waikiki beach, and most tourists come to the right place; Kaua’i – the oldest of all; Maui – a mecca for windsurfers; Big Island – the largest island of the archipelago with the existing volcanoes. The other four are less popular among visitors: Moloka’i, Lana’i, Ni’ihau and Kaho’olawe.
Select the desired – not an easy task, each of them attracts something his own, inimitable. Many people spend two or three days each, dividing his vacation to pieces. But we went another way. From my point of view, it is better to explore in more detail, a single island at a time, than be torn between them, and still do not have time to see everything.

At the family council, independently of each other, two votes "for" was selected Big Island. Probably should explain our choice, because most people prefer to Honolulu. First, the name "Big Island" speaks for itself – will have something to do during the week, and secondly (and more importantly), it is an active volcano, and miss the opportunity to see the current lava, we certainly could not. So my advice is simple: if you are not lazy, not stupid like grilling on the beach, not burdened with many children and poor health, the Big Island – the perfect place to start getting acquainted with the Hawaiian Islands.
Trip is scheduled for May, although you can go there at any time of year, since air temperature is always the same: 24-25 degrees. Paradise, and more! It was time to book a hotel. Travel through the Internet, I was surprised to learn that much easier and more profitable to not live in a hotel and a condominium. The fact is that there is a certain group of people (mostly residents of Los Angeles and San Francisco), with private property on the island and handing over their apartments to tourists. It is best that the same room with ocean view in the hotel will cost much more.
